Seashell Aquariums was established in 1990 and became incorporated in 2000 to meet the growing demand for high quality aquariums. Seashell Aquariums was founded by experienced manufacturing and engineering experts who used key connections to source high quality materials, and applied their full scope of knowledge to design affordable, well-made and beautiful products for the retail market.
Quickly recognised as a dedicated and professional business partner, Seashell became a leading supplier to Maidenhead Aquatics – the UK’s largest aquatic retailer. Today, we produce a range of exclusive products for Maidenhead Aquatics, as well as offering popular design styles for other large retailers.
Based on output alone, Seashell are the largest aquarium manufacturer in the UK, delivering over
200 Aquariums per week.
As a business who works closely with leading suppliers, we are dedicated to creating quality products; as a result, we have ensured continued investment in the best tools for the job. This includes world-class manufacturing hardware, such as computerised glass cutting table; drilling and cerium polishing machines (on the glass side and CNC); routing, and drilling and edge banding machines on the cabinet side, which enable us to fulfil large scale orders without sacrificing quality.
Our two factories, based on a 10-acre site in Essex, boasts staff who are fully qualified experts in design, engineering and manufacturing. These factors ensure that we are able to meet the high demand of producing superior products, with full compliance and consistency checks throughout each stage of the build process.
With the expertise and resources to design and build aquariums of almost any size or shape, we regularly create bespoke aquariums for individuals and businesses. We have been building ‘on-site’ for over 25 years – completing large scale projects for offices, clubs, gyms, restaurants, bars, homes, film sets, magicians and zoos (among others!).
We typically take on 50-75 on-site builds per year, successfully meeting a wide variety of challenges including installations on top floors of buildings and the assembly of complex structures within tight timeframes.
