Software licensing is an important issue to be aware of within your organisation.

Most of the software providers are cracking down on businesses that are not licensed or simply under licensed.

For example; did you know that with most versions of Microsoft Office 2003 it has to be activated with Microsoft. Each time it is used Microsoft record it and once activated more than twice you have to call Microsoft to get a new activation code.

When you do this you will be asked how many PC's is that software installed on and why are you re-installing the software.

Also if you are using a copy of Windows XP that has been identified as a misused copy , you will be unable to download many of the updates that Microsoft provide free of charge.
